What we trust, what we label, what we leave out

The difficult part of covering Chinese games in English is not translation. It is deciding how much confidence a claim deserves when the source is a leak, a datamine or a community post.

01What we cover

Two kinds of pages: a front-page index of third-party guide sites, and original background articles about the culture, vocabulary and release practices behind Chinese games. The background pages explain context; they do not replace a game-specific wiki.

02Source order

Official Chinese announcements and patch notes rank first. Second are official global channels, which sometimes lag or differ. Third are datamines and test-server footage, which are accurate about files and unreliable about intent. Fourth are community reports and creator videos, useful for sentiment and rarely sufficient alone.

03Uncertainty

Dates, rates and version gaps move. Where a figure is provisional, the page says so or omits the number. We do not present a leaked schedule as a release date, and we do not treat a test build as the final build.

04Language

Pages are written in English for players on global servers. Chinese terms are kept where the English equivalent would mislead, and defined on first use or in the glossary.

05Independence

Advertising does not affect coverage. No publisher or platform has editorial input, and no listing is paid placement. Outbound guide sites are selected for usefulness, not for a commercial relationship.

06Corrections and updates

Factual errors are corrected when reported, with the page URL as the starting point. Material changes to a page are noted at the top of that page. Guides that describe pre-launch systems are revisited when the game ships, because assumptions rarely survive launch intact.
